How our service works
Oil Tank Replacement Company does not fit tanks. We are a small introduction service for households, landlords and farms that need a heating oil tank replaced, moved, fitted or removed, and this page covers what happens to your request from start to finish.
You fill in the quote form
Your postcode, what kind of tank you have and need, how easy it is to reach, and a phone number and email.
We look for an OFTEC-registered tank installer
One that works near you and does your type of tank job, be it a straight swap, a new position, a removal or a tank that has leaked.
We tell you who they are
Usually within a working day, by phone or email. You then decide. Your details only go to that firm if you say yes, and never to anyone else.
They visit and price it
The installer checks the base, distances and access and gives you a written price. Whether you go ahead, and on what terms, is between you and them.
Outside our role
We do not survey, supply, fit, certify or take away tanks, and we do not deliver oil. We have no link with any tank installer or supplier that has a name like ours.
Our commitments to you
- The service is free to use, with no deposit or sign-up.
- No more than one firm receives your details, and only after you agree.
- We give typical price ranges, never a price for your job; that comes from the installer after they have seen the site.
- No newsletters or sales calls from us.
How the service is funded
Our income comes from the tank firm: they pay us when we hand them a job enquiry. That payment never appears on your invoice, and it does not change if you turn them down.
Prices and rules on this site
The figures on the cost estimator and elsewhere are typical national ranges from published UK price guides, dated when we read them, for budgeting only. Our regulations page summarises official guidance; it is general information, not legal advice.

Get a quote for your oil tank
Three steps: the postcode, the tank, and how to reach you. It takes a couple of minutes at most.
We are a free introduction service, not an installer. We find an OFTEC-registered tank installer who covers your postcode and tell you their name; that firm only hears from us once you give the go-ahead.
Got it. Your tank details are with us.
- Within a working day we look for an OFTEC-registered installer covering your area and let you know who it is.
- If you are happy, that one firm gets your details. If not, they go nowhere.
- The installer checks the base, the distances and the access, then gives you a written price. We never send marketing.
